A New Look for the Next Chapter of Heart Home Network

For 30 years, Heart Home Network has supported individuals and families impacted by domestic violence as they build pathways toward safety and stability.

As we mark this important milestone, we’re also looking ahead to the next chapter of our journey.

This September, we’re introducing a fresh new Heart Home Network brand—one that honours our history, reflects who we are today and looks ahead to where we’re going next.

New brand. The same heart.

Inspired by the concepts of mosaic and tapestry, our new brand reflects how unique people, experiences, relationships and sources of support can come together along a person’s journey.

Every person brings their own story, strengths, needs and hopes. There is no single path toward safety and stability. Our new identity celebrates that individuality while reflecting the connections and network of support that can help create new possibilities along the way.

30 years of creating pathways to safety and stability

Our story began in 1996 when Dr. Barrie Strafford and The Brenda Strafford Foundation established The Brenda Strafford Society for the Prevention of Domestic Violence in response to the need for long-term housing and support for women and children leaving emergency shelters. 

Over the years, that vision grew. In 2022, the Society formally merged with The Brenda Strafford Foundation and became known as 'Heart Home Network'. Our name has become a meaningful part of our identity. It represents more than a place to stay. It represents the journey from crisis to stability, from uncertainty to safety, and from surviving to thriving.

Today, our new brand honours that history while reflecting our continued commitment to creating safe, responsive spaces and connecting clients with trauma-informed tools, supports and programs as they navigate their own journeys toward safety and stability.
