Institut Brenda Strafford in Haiti continues to find new ways to enhance the patient experience and support the day-to-day operations of the facility.
Recently, the Institut launched a new student volunteer pilot project to help create a more welcoming and coordinated experience for patients. Volunteers will welcome and guide patients throughout the facility, helping them more easily find the services they need. Patient feedback will help measure the impact of the pilot and identify opportunities for further improvement.
The Institut’s maintenance team also continues to support the facility’s solar energy system through regular cleaning of the solar panels, helping maximize sunlight absorption and power generation. With approximately 290 days of sunshine each year and 600 solar panels, the system helps power the care provided to 250 patients every day.
