As a charitable organization we are an innovative force, providing high quality person-centred care and services to optimize well-being and enrich people’s lives. With your support, together we can advance this mission and further transform the quality of life of those who benefit from our care and services in the communities where we operate.
You can donate to The Brenda Strafford Foundation, and we will use your donation where it is 'needed most.' Or you can choose to allocate your donation to support a specific campaign or area of need.
The Brenda Strafford Foundation is raising money for accessible buses to facilitate recreational outings in the local community… Going places that create life-enriching experiences and enable our senior residents to live life to the fullest. Our goal is to have two new buses to be shared by our Calgary locations by March 2020.
You can make a difference and help us to enrich the lives of our residents living with dementia by making a financial contribution, donating an item on our wish list, or volunteering to help us enhance the environment in our Nottingham secure living neighborhood at Tudor Manor.
Virtual Reality technology designed specifically to engage, stimulate and teach seniors is bringing new and exciting experiences to The Brenda Strafford Foundation's seniors programs across the city. The Foundation is the first seniors care provider to offer Rendever’s VR system in Assisted Living and Long Term Care in Canada, with plans to expand the program to all of our Manors. Bow View Manor's Adult Day Program is currently fundraising through their 'Adventures, Discovery and Purpose with Virtual Reality' campaign.

The Institut Brenda Strafford works as a family, united in its charitable mission to provide high quality, person centered professional Ophthalmology and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) services to enrich the lives of people in Haiti. Providing services in Les Cayes, Haiti since 1982, the Institut strives to be the first choice of Ophthalmology and ENT health care for our communities, providing cost-effective services in order to improve the clinical outcomes of those we serve.
As the largest specialty eye and ENT facility in the country, patients come from all 10 departments throughout Haiti, some travelling as much as 12 hours, to receive care. For these reasons, starting from their initial consultation and carrying through to the very last treatment, our team of 100+ employees dedicates themselves to ensure every patient receives high quality, compassionate care. Through these efforts, each year we treat over 55,000 patients and perform more than 1,700 surgeries. With your support, we can continue to provide this valuable care to those who need it most in Haiti.
Every day, The Institut sees over 250 patients. However, The Institut has outgrown our current space, which forces patients to stand in long lines and wait in overcrowded rooms. Our new Pre-consultation and Patient Education Area will create the space needed to provide our patients and staff a dignified environment in which care and services can be provided. Furthermore, this new space will have multiple functions as it will also serve as a conference and large meeting area for our 100+ person staff.
