This initiative for our frontline staff will recognize, appreciate and celebrate all they have done – and continue to do – for our residents and families. Acting upon our strategic plan Pursuit 2025: The BSF Way the BSF will undertake numerous staff wellness initiatives in 2023. This includes a Wellness Week in April 2023, along with ongoing staff activities scheduled regularly throughout the year.
Heart Home Network creates a safe environment for women and children impacted by domestic violence and provides support services that prepare families to safely return to the community and be able to heal so they can independently support their families in a violence free setting.
'Rec@Home' is a virtual recreation program for older adults in the community designed to increase socialization, engagement, and wellness for seniors at risk of isolation. Our community virtual recreation program offers twice daily seated exercises with staff, weekly live virtual therapeutic music, cognitive games, social groups, coffee chats, and more. Your donation to this pilot program will help to support older adults in the community remain active, intellectually stimulated, and socially connected from within their homes.
The 'Pursuit of a Lifetime' program is designed to inspire residents to live life to the fullest, and to continue dreaming and pursuing their passions. The Institut Brenda Strafford in Les Cayes, Haiti, is an active treatment hospital employing 100 staff and physicians and typically sees an average of 4,000-5,000 patients per month. Specializing in Ophthalmology and ear, nose and throat services, The Institut provides a full range of consult services, scheduled and emergency surgical services and optical services including glasses.
Our senior’s population is a changing demographic, and will require an adaptation of current care delivery, the integration of research, and creative innovative solutions to improve and transform the current continuing care system. The Brenda Strafford Foundation's strategic plan prioritizes research, education and innovation in its main strategic goals. Furthermore, a commitment to innovation and research is represented in the mission, vision, and values with the ultimate goal to advance the quality of life for those we serve.
