The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF) is a strategic philanthropic foundation that invests in bold ideas, trusted partnerships and evidence-informed solutions to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities.
Working alongside community organizations, healthcare providers, researchers and government partners, we support innovative models of care, strengthen community capacity and accelerate solutions that improve lives through strategic investments in aging, children and youth, health, and violence prevention.
A future where people can live life to the fullest in caring and supportive communities – guided by the preservation of dignity and the pursuit of happiness.

Impact 2030
Meaningful change happens through collaboration. We work with communities, organizations and partners to drive impact and advance innovation.
Our role extends beyond financial support. BSF helps strengthen capacity, connect people and organizations, advance promising ideas and solutions, catalyze innovation and research, and share knowledge and learnings.
Our strategic priorities focus on four areas where we can work with partners to create meaningful, lasting impact.
Evidence, Research, Innovation & Learning
The Dr. Barrie Strafford Centre for Learning, Innovation & Quality (CLIQ) strengthens BSF's work through evidence, research, innovation and learning.
Working across BSF's focus areas, CLIQ collaborates with researchers, community organizations, innovators and other partners to generate knowledge, test and evaluate promising approaches, strengthen quality and use data to understand impact. This work helps turn evidence and learning into practical solutions that can improve lives, strengthen communities and contribute to lasting change.

Our History
Our future builds on more than 50 years of experience, relationships and social impact. As we evolve, we continue to draw on the knowledge and partnerships developed throughout our history.
